Traceability, Transparency, Due Diligence, Beneficiation, Provenance, Claims, Codes of Conduct, Mine-to-Market, Sustainability…
These terms are regularly repeated in descriptions of responsible sourcing practices, but taking a recommended practice and putting it into action can quickly overwhelm leaders of small businesses, even when they really want to get started and have ideas to develop. We want more business teams to feel confident about implementing responsible sourcing practices and tackling broader sustainability goals too. Jewelers and suppliers of jewelry materials are our primary clients and they lean on us like members of their team.
What to expect
We meet with each client, usually by phone or video conference, to get to know the specific needs and goals of each business. During this initial consultation, we ask a lot of questions aimed at identifying the client’s values, current practices, and goals. We listen carefully to uncover what each client needs. We then develop a basic proposal that outlines the goals, the steps to get there, a timeline with a meeting schedule, and a budget. This sometimes takes a few rounds before we settle the contract. All conversations and work are kept completely confidential.
